Corduroy earns its place in the weeks when a coat is too much and a shirt is not enough. This one is cut as an overshirt — shirt collar, buttons all the way down, two pockets on the chest — so it works open over a t-shirt or closed under a coat.
The ribs are narrow and set close together, which keeps the texture quiet rather than costume. It hangs straight from the shoulder with room to layer, and the hem is cut square so it sits flat over jeans.
